Our Story
At Penk’s Pools, we believe a backyard pool should be a sanctuary, not a second job. Founded in the heart of Central Jersey, we started with a simple mission: to provide the specialized care that saltwater pools demand. While others treat every pool the same, we understand the unique chemistry and equipment needs that keep
saltwater systems running smoothly and looking pristine.
We know that a beautiful summer in Jersey is already too short, and every day lost to a green pool or a broken pump is a day of memories missed. That’s why we pride ourselves on being reliable, transparent, and technical experts who ensure your only job is to jump in and enjoy.

Matt Penkethman
Founder & CEO
Matt Penkethman is an entrepreneur and the founder of Penk’s Pools. A Rowan University graduate with a degree in Biology, he brings 13 years of hands-on pool experience to the company, combining strong technical knowledge with a detail-focused approach to water quality and service. Matt founded Penk’s Pools in 2021 and has run it ever since, building the business around reliable, high-quality care and long-term customer trust.

Daniel Penkethman
Co-Owner & Lead Technician
Daniel Penkethman is a dedicated pool professional with over four years of hands-on experience in pool maintenance and service. Orenda Pool Servicing Certified, he brings trusted water chemistry knowledge and a detail-focused approach to keeping every pool clean, balanced, and running the way it should. A senior at St. Rose High School, Daniel is the senior class vice president, a National Honor Society member, and part of the school’s Business program—bringing that same leadership and reliability to Penk’s Pools through consistent, high-quality service and long-term customer trust.

Jack Penkethman
Co-Owner & Lead Technician
Jack Penkethman is a 17-year-old sophomore at St. Rose High School who brings four years of hands-on pool experience to every job. As part of St. Rose’s Engineering program, he approaches pool service with a detail-focused, problem-solving mindset—aiming to keep every pool clean, clear, and running the way it should. Jack is also Orenda Pool Service Certified, adding professional-level water chemistry knowledge to Penk’s Pools’ reliable, high-quality care.
